Nikolay Bogomolov is a St. Petersburg artist, born in 1956. He graduated from the Leningrad Technological Institute Lensoveta in 1979.

The beginning of his creative career in the eighties was a series of exhibitions together with artists of nonconformist culture, the traditions of which he continues today.

From 1986 to 1991, he exhibited mainly with the Experimental Fine Art Society (TEII).
In 1987, he became a member of the Ostrov group (part of TEII) and participated in many group exhibitions.

In 1990, he participated in the large Soviet-American project “All for One Earth”. Exhibitions in San Francisco and Leningrad. Together with American artists, he participated in the creation of the first official mural on Maly Prospekt on Vasilievsky Island.

In the period 1990-97. exhibited mainly on the West Coast of the USA both in galleries and as a participant in art festivals. Together with Precita Eyes Mural Center participated in painting two murals in San Francisco.
In 1995-1998 together with Urisman Fine Arts organized a number of exhibitions of St. Petersburg artists on the West Coast of the USA.

In the period 1995-2016 worked as a teacher of computer graphics at the Center for Information Culture of the Kirovsky District of St. Petersburg, a graphic designer.

During the entire period, participated in art exhibitions in museums, cultural centers and galleries in Russia, the USA.
Actively collaborated with galleries Palitra, Mart, Gallery 14/45, Artliga (St. Petersburg), SOMAR, Richard Thomas Gallery, Nakhamkin Gallery, Trojanovska Gallery, Canvasation Gallery, Vitkovsky Fine Art (San Francisco,Bay Area, USA)
Participated in more than 100 exhibitions (25 personal).
